I bet there won't be many parishioners in Mr. newton's church on Sunday.
Ron said in an earlier post that more was to come on Cecil Newton and we were not gonna like it. However, he also said this did not involve Cam or Auburn. I'm about to the point that no matter what the news on Cecil, if Auburn is in the clear, I won't be totally disappointed.
Good friends are hard to find. Enjoy every moment you have with them.
Hotel lobby video does not have audio. The fact that Cecil Newton was meeting with Ms St coaches is hardly news, they were there for an official visit. If Rogers was present at the meeting that would reflect on the coaches.
Bell is quoted tonight confirming that Cecil Newton did ask for money. Rogers said that he called Bell. Was Cecil Newton phoning all Ms St alums soliciting money for Cam? How did he know to call Bill Bell and where did he get his number?
Convenient that Cecil told Kenny "it wasn't going to be free this time" getting U of Florida off the hook for any scrutiny regarding their recruitment of Cam Newton.
After going through the recruiting process twice why did Mr Newton get the idea that this time he could someone to pay $200K for Cam's signature? And why would he, this time, stoop to the level of putting a price tag on his son?
"Brick by brick, my citizens. Brick by brick"
It almost looks like this is possibly what is going on and it would have been kept quite until the investigation was complete, but someone either to the south or to the east began pushing the story to the media because of the rumors, just to hurt Cam and AU, not knowing all that was going on.
Strive for perfection in everything we do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, create it.
Performance stands out like a ton of diamonds. Nonperformance can always be explained away.
In the ESPN article they quoteed a spokeswoman for the NCAA that said the NCAA does not rule student athletes ineligible during an investigation, and it's basically the schools that have to decide early on if they sit the athlete or not.
Unless there is something I haven't seen or don't understand then I don't think the fact that the NCAA hasn't benched Newton yet really means anything good or bad for Auburn.
Fine, let's argue semantics. The NCAA hasn't advised Auburn to bench Cam.
I have always suspected that MSU has been covering their ass since Cam committed to Auburn. Had MSU felt that Cam was not firm, possibly money was offered to Cecil in the Hotel lobby. If all these details that are now surfacing did occur, then why did it take until July for MSU to come forth with ONLY partial information.
My theory is that Auburn, after being informed by the SEC office regarding MSU allocations last January Auburn's investigation found nothing. However, their report to the SEC pointed out a few things regarding MSU and their last minute efforts to secure Cam. The SEC office in turn requested additional information from MSU, who took their sweet ass time to provide.
QUESTION! Why was this information lacking yesterday's Telephone conversation and Bell's story?
Phone records have limits as well as video of parents, coaches and players sitting in a hotel lobby. I expect Auburn and Cecil to stand firm and stand silent. Auburn officials know the truth and Cam will continue to play. The quilty will continue to spin the story and release information piece by piece. We as fan are just going to have to grin and bear it. all the way to the National title.
I read that NCAA statement the same as u did. They left it up to Auburn and they chose to risk it. I really hope they knew ALL of this. I'm afraid if we get in trouble and have to vacate wins that there will be lost jobs over it.
Sooo...how do y'all think Trotter will do as starting QB going forward? It's amazing that stuff like this happens at our beloved university yet the school to the west skates all the time. If all of this crap proves true, I'm done.
Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy - you know who
Phillip if it is true then is there anyway Newtons stays eligible? No one at Auburn has seemed surprised by any "new" developments? Loved u on Tiger talk, that jerk deserved what he got!
The Will Collier report is starting a fire on Auburn message boards claiming Auburn has evidence against MSU that they are about to go public with.....
I don't know how or why this is starting up, but it seems a bit silly in my opinion.
