How much of it is on the coach(es)? How much of it is on the players? Will any of us ever really know?
Good players can always overcome bad coaching but good coaches cannot overcome bad players playing badly. Not saying they are bad players but playing badly. Every change to replace a player not performing may reap a good or bad result. So you have revolving door and the only thing that is constant is change.
Chizik played favorites early on and lost multiple ball games with players who aren't SEC level while several talents that are SEC level sat the bench and stopped giving a sh*t, because they probably knew they weren't getting a fair shake.
His ego probably wanted to prove to the confident SEC talents that he could win with less athletic FCA members and Bible thumpers. This bit him in the ass and he deserves every bit of what's happening now and what's soon to come.

I believe the young players would have benefited from playing behind experianced players. They were thrown in to learn on the fly. Not making excuses for the coaching but there job has been a tough one. Experiance can overcome bad coaching but just talent alone want get it done.

Something happened before the 2011 season or early in the year. It has to do with GC though, that much is certain.
Plus as another poster said, when we went to a ball control offense early last year...the sabanization of cfb
Phillip has said when this is all done he will write the story. I cannot wait for that!

And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.

WE COMING . WAR EAGLE !
What story? How playing the spread for three years made us weak and this is the result?
That was the company line for half the season this year.
