Based on what I saw tonight, I am impressed with Pres. Gogue's evaluation of talent in the coaching field. It makes me even more excited about our new head coach seeing that we "passed over" Sean in favor of Gus.
He's a good OC, but has a losing record as a HC. A lot of guys have success as coordinators but struggle as HCs.

i think he's fortunate to face an uninspired uf team with an awful QB.
1 game does not a season make. Go watch some of the uninspired moments and get back with me.
I have to ask.... what even is the point? If we're going to evaluate future head coaches solely on whether or not they are good offensive coordinators, then Malzahn still wins that contest hands down.
Look I saw quite a bit of that game last night and his offense was razor sharp. Bridgewater is a very, very elite QB.
But the ship has long since sailed on the underlying premise of your comment. Gogue's wisdom in picking Gus will be evaluated based on how AU does on the field the next few years. Not on a name dropped very early in the search process.
