Email campaign aimed at the university president, trustees? What is the best way for those of us that feel a change is needed to make our position known?
If you think the product that has been showing up on the field every Saturday this fall is the fault of the fan base then you don't know much about football.
Wow, so it wasn't satan who wrecked the season, it was the fans.
If change isn't done this year, don't renew season tickets. That is the only change we need
to do---with our pocketbooks.
If you want change now, don't attend any more games.
I take issue with your tone and accusations that the fans lit the match that started this fire. As a life long Auburn fan, brother of a former player and 17 year season ticket holder I find that blaming the fans for this to be too easy. As fans we don't have a great deal of individual influence unless we are very wealthy. For you or anyone to insinuate that fans should not be able to express their dissatisfaction with the product on the field is analogous to continuing to pay to eat at a restaurant where the food is consistently bad without complaint regardless of how well we like the owner or how convienant the location. As for me my check is up to $4700 this year, I purchased the right to expect a good product and the right to complain and even recommend that the chef loose his job when the product is this bad.
If we had never posted anything on this site, Auburn would be 2-4 at best. Let's face it,
Chizik isn't the best man for the job.
WE COMING . WAR EAGLE !
YOU FANS. Who the hell are you 94?
Please. You have placed your trust in the hands of individual who have padded their own pockets with millions of dollars and still have run this program into the ground. CGC brought this upon all of us with his incompetance and paranoia. He excluded his staff with his secret search for an OC and brought in a man who does not fit the talent or the current staff. You can't make a hire by either consulting the staff you intend on keeping or you let the new hire pick his own staff. CSL had not earned the opportunity to make those type of staff decisions. He was not prepared to take over a program of this magnitude.
I don't believe for one minute that CGC honestly consulted Grimes, Trooper , or Luper on the direction of this team. He just told them, we were going to do this and live with it. I think the three knew CGC had lost his mind, but had no choice but to attempt to fit a square peg into a round hole. I also don't believe that any of these three would purposely do harm to Auburn or the players. In fact I believe they are the ones who are holding this thing together.
CBVG has already taken over the defense. I just hope he stays, moves Pelton to Player Relations position and finds a new DL coach.
There is only one real problem with this team and it is CGC.
Man, I feel so bad now knowing that we'd be undefeated if we just shut up and let Gene do work!
