Thats good but just keep in mind you should tone your expectations just off of practice reports. If practice reports meant everything...

    - Trovon Reed would be a playmaker in our offense - DeAngelo Benton would have written the record books - Slade was blowing our DL off the ball - Craig Sanders would have revolutionized defense - Jake Holland would been a great LB in pass coverage and tackling machine - Sammie Coates, according to Stan White, is already the next Sammie Watkins - McCalebb would be taking inside carries

ect ect you get the point. Let them prove it on the field first.

You are so right there, collier. Wish AU could play all it's games on Wednesday. Sure those receivers look good..against that defense. So do everyone else's receivers. Coach would do well to just not mention practice. It's like my practice swing on the golf course. I would be a scratch golfer if I could replicate it on the actual ball. I'm thinking that all these guys will mature into better players, but I don't buy it that the coaches don't know that they aren't there yet. Getting real, AU should beat Sanford easily, but Alabama should whip Auburn every bit as bad as LSU, ARK, and GA. I wish it were not so, but my glasses are clear, not rose colored. I really like Coach Chizik, and I really do hope things work out well for him. What concerns me most is that it seems that he and his staff never really decided who can play and exactly what the personality of the team is. He says that the defenses dictate what the offense does and vice versa for the AU's defense. I totally understand that, but sometimes a team must decide to enforce it's will on the other team. Maybe this team will get there in a year or two, but so far I haven't seen this against quality opponents. I do disagree with some comments that I have seen about Auburn quitting. I certainly have not seen that. Quit, no. Whipped, yes. And being a guy who has been whipped before, I get that. Maybe it is simply like 12 graders playing against the JV's. Another year or two should eliminate that. War Eagle.
