The problem really is that the Auburn family has allowed a bully to kick us around for years. I have a family member that works in Tuscaloosa with very prominent Bama money people. They have told her to her face they would pay whatever it took to destroy the Auburn program. Now - are they just running their mouth? Could be but I believe there is a little truth to those statements.
Don't you wish the turds would just pay attention to their own affairs and not be so pathologically obsessed with Auburn? Regrettably, they are totally incapable of focusing just on themselves and ignoring Auburn being such classless (and toothless) mutants and donkey butts.
We need to carry a big damn stick and yell when we swing it!

we do need to fight back in the form of running down these "sources" in ncaa, sec office and do so publicly . however, we must be more strategic and marginally move away from them because they are clearly fanatical beyond all other fan bases and have well thought out strategies to damage/harm their perceived threats and we have been # 1 target forever.
i really think it's time to quit playing them every year and move away division wise. whether that's the east today, or in a 16 team league, au being separate in one of the likely four team divisions out of four. it's crucially important now that disney/espn has signed on for another few years tv-wise for college football.
I know it's heretical, but i'd consider the acc, b/c with that league in peril you wonder how aggressive they will be to survive, and with notre dame (nbc tv $), one could foresee with the right 16 teams a football, but more importantly basketball combo that could conceivably be unrivaled. just think if ky, vandy, fla, Au moved tomorrow. cbs would be beholding given march madness. again, i don't think this would happen but folks need to step back and see the big picture themes going on and shaping the future of college athletics. if you don't think that's the way a slive and west vance are thinking you really are on an kindergarten level.
We (AU) should be aggressively thinking thru those possibilities to be in best position for us athletically/academically/alumni locations/prospective student draw, etc. and USE IT(publlically or otherwise) to achieve our objectives. if that means dancing with acc overtures to get what we want in sec, fine. but be aggressive. just look what tx a&m achieved but it was both a back room and public war to get out from big brother. i think they are pretty happy today leaving all those "traditions" behind.
two parting thoughts - you don't negotiate with terrorist/fanatics but move away, and you don't waste a crisis if you can see a strategic way forward. WDE 28-27.
First step is to rightfully claim our national championships like other schools are doing. Then lobby to move to the east. Then hire the best Pr person known. All this should follow hiring Tue best coach and ad.
Yeah but how do we look right now?
Silly would actually be a compliment!
