My dad has pancreatic cancer and is suffering extensively. Never thought I would pray for him to die.
My prayers are with you my friend. At the point my father passed away , I was praying for that very thing , and he was too. I know exactly what your facing , and I'm praying for you and your family.
May God Bless you and your family.
So sorry, I had a great Auburn friend who started slurring his speech while we were at an Auburn alumni dinner back in 2011 and subsequently diagnosed with ALS and died 14 months later but was fully aware of oue 2012 football up until he passed away.
Great Auburn alum and supporter!
Sorry for what you're going through!
I went through the same thing with my daddy and his battle with lung cancer. I feel your pain. The suffering is extremely hard to deal with. It's not easy and I still think about it 3 years later. All you can do is be there to comfort him anyway you can with medication and love. Best wishes to you and your family

Good friends are hard to find. Enjoy every moment you have with them.
My wife and I brought her dad to our home to die the Sunday before the 2010 nc game. He had heart failure and asked to be able to die at our home but refused to die until the game was over. Morning after the game he woke up asked who won and I told him auburn and he smiled and waved to us and went home to his Lord Jesus. Never forget the experience.
So sorry for the pain your Dad is going through.
Praying for you, brother.
All Auburn All the Time!
Prayers sent for you and you family.
Same here. My dad died from lung cancer in 1997. Never smoked. He was a '43 graduate of Auburn and a great Auburn man. Nothing easy about watching the suffering. My prayers go out to all that suffer from this dreaded disease.
1 Corinthians 2:9
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”[a]—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
"doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my god"
-George Petrie (1945)
I watched my dad suffer too. Someone else on the board mentioned getting help from a hospice and said something about speaking up for him in regards to meds. It is very good advice. Being your dad's advocate is a tremendous gift to give a man you obviously love very much, it can also be a gift for you as well. Tell him you love him all you can and let him know some members of the Auburn family in Texas are praying for him. May you both know all the love and peace in the world.
