I'm considering the switch to UVerse. Anything I should know for those who have it? Does is include CSS on it? Any other channels of note that would be missing.
CSS is only on Charter and Comcast. Its the only reason I haven't changed.
Thanks. I've had this debate over the course of the past week, but what am I really missing from CSS? Braves don't play on CSS anymore, and besides football re-runs (which I will be able to record with Uverse anyways now), is there anything I'm really missing?
We've had U-Verse since autumn of 2009 and absolutely love it. The only thing I missed was CSS and that's because of how much I loved Auburn Every Day. We are very spoiled by U-Verse and if you try it, you will be, too!
U-verse is awful, on so many tv's can be used, streaming has issues, plus Internet is did faintly not up to par with Charter and Comcast
Only so many tv's
Modem from provider doesn't add up

lol. im not trying to sell anything, I'm trying to be sold. i have 7 tv's and they say all will be given a box to use with.
I just switched from Charter to U-verse about a month ago and love it. I was having an absurd amount of service problems ( channels freezing up, HD channels not coming in CONSTANTLY, trying to rewind TV and hitting play may or may not work... ). Every time I called Charter to fix the problem with THEIR service, they charged me 35 dollars which I would then have to have retroactively removed from my bill. I had Charter's 30 MB internet and when I swapped to U-verse, I haven't noticed any drop in speed. It is also cheaper. TIFWIW.
Oh no he didn't
The issue that I had was that the Braves were not shown when they were on Peachtree TV. Other than that UVERSE was great. THey might have fixed that programming ussue though. I cant miss my braves baseball. It comes in a close 2nd to Auburn Football.
Switch period. We've had it for 4+ years, never once had a problem:
1. Storms don't have an affect on my old dish or cable anymore
2. Free install- that means DVR, wirless for the home, cabling, wiring, what ever. (Guy was SO helpful-knowledgeable, even hooked up surround sound)
3. HD on ALL 5 TVs (I guess folks have more than 5 TVs?)
4. My intranet is FAST, I get 18Megs, slow? Think not
5. I have 3 pc/laptops in the house on wireless, where ever I am, I'm flying
6. I think I can record 5 shows at a time? In any room... never have that much going on
7. Love the interface, easy to use
8. Content: On demand, rentals, channel line up, Auburn, Braves, multi view ability... awesome!
Never been out of service,
WDE, GO Tigers
I can watch it here in Atlanta on P'tree TV... shrug... may be different where you are.
I've always found that whatever cable/satellite service I am currently on is always the worst.
"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
pump the brakes dude....
For one thing, I really doubt that half of what you say is true. In many areas U-verse can get 100Mbs fiber to the door.
Second thing, there is no reason to be a dick.
