USC vehemently disagrees with NCAA
This post was edited by aurnbob 3 years ago
No doubt. Now the question becomes, do any of their Seniors transfer? and what happens to the 25+ they signed this year and now don't have a place for? If they'd voluntarily followed the sanctions(other than the post season ban) and limited the number they signed, it would have hurt, but now they may be over the limits. Most schools self-impose, USC thought they were too big(remind you of the bammers) now they've got a huge mess. We laughed at the updykes for using probation as an excuse for losing 6 in a row to us, but the truth is, losing scholarships hurts. USC by most counts shouldn't have signed more than 15 to 18 this year. What happens now?
The USC sanctions start with this (2012) signing class and can only sign up to 15, but can't exceed 75 total, so they may only sign 10-12 and 8 commitments now (but they may lose some).
Did Mitch Mustain graduate or is he a senior?
