First off, trolling does seem to be rampant as of late. But look at all the lively threads it has produced over the last few days in a time the board would be a little less lively in a down time right now since we have no bowl date this year and the coaching staff fullfillment has slowed a bit.
I for one look foward to logging on and see a post by the infamous obiewan (troll or not who knows). I just look for the bright red down arrows and know the force has spoken. I get a chuckle out of it everytime.
I also enjoy other posts by regulars and some lurkers (trollers) that go against the grain. Heck, if we constantly agree and blow positive smoke ad nauseum it would be quite the bore after a while.
On the topic of the 30 day trials. Some hate and have reason to. It definitely let's the garbage in and have full reign during that time. However, without I would have never became a paying customer as many others that have found a new place to call home and talk all things Auburn.
Last thing on trolling. Hate it or not it drives site views and therefore advertising dollars and overall bottom line for the owners of site. Thus, giving them the resources to constantly upgrade and provide us with better and better content.
One last note:
I also like heated topics. However, the mods have spoken and have said no to political or controversial topics. I disagree but understand their point of view. As they usually get out of hand and eventually will offend some. Having thick skin, I sometimes have a hard time grasping this concept, but do understand it does and will always offend others.
Just one point of view from a fairly new member AUC. WDE
"I've seen some coaches lose with good players. I haven't seen anybody win without them." Rhett Lashlee
"To each his own," I say.

Guys, I'm not trolling, I like this board and enjoy the posts. I do post things where I can see would get under people's skin, but you can't ignore things that have went on at auburn and not address them. Auburn isn't the same place it used to be under the last coaching staff the players did what the wanted, I hope cgm can change the culture and turn it around, I enjoyed every game I've ever went to until this year and we point blank quit. WDE
**Guys, I'm not trolling
Do not think you are but haven't quite figured you out.
** I do post things where I can see would get under people's skin, but you can't ignore things that have went on at auburn and not address them.
You do and I agree they should be addressed, as long as it is not just quickly stated with a one or two sentences without backed up with facts or atleast your reasoning.
***Auburn isn't the same place it used to be under the last coaching staff the players did what the wanted
Wasn't the same as in the past, and do believe alot did whatever the heck they wanted to.
***I hope cgm can change the culture and turn it around
He will. I have no doubt.
****I enjoyed every game I've ever went to until this year and we point blank quit.
You are on point with this. Never have I been ashamed of the product we put on the field until some of the things I saw out there last year.
Imagine everyday you have to be on the road for 8+ hours with 3-4k kids in the backseat and you have to try and consider everything being said to you by all of them. Even on subjects they all like, you are having to correct, make yourself heard, make sure no one is hurting anyone else etc. OK now willingly add in and allow subjects that you know will inflame, hurt, divide. You wouldn't willing do that when the normal, general comments, prob make you want to quit. Yes they get paid for it, but I am sure it can be a bit much some days.

I am definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and will admit I had to re-read this several times to make sure I had your references in all the right place. After finally breaking the code, I would be a fool to argue with the in depth point you made to me. Just for the brain teaser alone, another one of my +1 have left the building for you.
The "trolls" don't really bother me. It's a free country. If there are "trolls" around here their comments will never be on the same level you read on al.com in the comments after the articles. I quit reading those a long time ago because you know the comments are not going to be intelligent and that includes comments from fans of both teams. The article is just like throwing a bloody piece of meat into shark infested waters.
I don't let down votes bother me. They are a form of speech and in this country we have free speech. An upvote means I agree with what a poster has said. A downvote, to me, means a little more than I disagree. I've gotten a few of them and it really doesn't bother me. I'm not intending that in any arrogant sort of way. I mean they just don't bother me, I'm not offended by them. I don't post stuff intending for people to agree with me. I post stuff intending to express my point of view.
Back to the original idea about the "trolls" and who they may be and how they are "ruining our site".....I just love all the cloak and dagger stuff.
Well I hate to do it. But I agree whole heartedly with your entire post.
Very sharp post.
Thanks, I just gave you an up vote.
