Junior LaDarius Owens said it was easy to lose about 15 pounds and make the switch back to linebacker this spring. He's down to 243 pounds. He said it was his decision to move to LB, a move he's wanted to make for the last couple of years. He said his time playing defensive end helps him at linebacker when he takes on offensive linemen.
Owens said he's taking an active role making calls at Mike linebacker.
"I didn't move to linebacker to watch or add depth, I want to compete," Owens said.
