Both Gus Malzahn and Rhett Lashlee said quarterbacks Jonathan Wallace and Kiehl Frazier graded out about the same in the A-Day game. Lashlee expects them to be listed as co-starters on the post-spring depth chart and believes continuing the competition over the summer and fall is good for the quarterbacks and for the team.
"There's not a lot of separation coming out of spring," Lashlee said.

My analysis of the QB race, after watching the game from a critical stance, is that Duckhunter is right - our QB isn't on campus yet. I disagree with the folks who think Wallace did best - I thought Frazier did. But what do I know? Anyhow, if we have to rely on either, we're looking at a 7-8 win season at best. We'll win on CGM's system, not on the talent of what was on display last Saturday. I really do hope one of the new guys steps up and grabs the job. And if they do, I fully expect Wallace and/or Frazier to leave. Sometimes HS superstars are just that - HS superstars who can't make the transition to college. I've know many of those over the years. Had a good friend who was Mr. Football in the state of Alabama who spent his whole college career punting for bammer. And he WAS good - so college isn't for all ball players - at least not SEC-level competition. WDE!!
