Some of you seriously need to get a grip and come to the realization that Petrino may not be hired--but he is a VERY real possibility.
I'd be willing to bet that the average age on this board is a solid decade higher than any other board.
And with old age, many have forgotten how to forgive
Happy days are here again!!!!
"Get in where you fit in." Life is, Too Short TL;DR
This site and Scout are about the same. The Bunker is the most pro-Petrino.
The thing that baffles me is that BP has not sinned against any one of us! If his wife has forgiven him and if he has been forgiven by God, isn't that what truly matters here? Some of our nation's geatest leaders messed up in pretty much the same way (i.e. George Washington and FDR)

Speak for yourself you young whippersnapper! BP has done NOTHING to me that I need to forgive. What he has shown me is his string of character flaws and not just his inability to keep his pants zipped. He lies, cheats, goes behind his employer's back, hires his mistresses etc. Sorry, but he is like an addict. He can stay straight for a while, but when tempted he will probably embarrass AU and we will start this mess all over again. With that said, I will still support Auburn as I always have even if he becomes HC. But I will not like him.

To me, Phillip Marshall vouching for Petrinos character is more than enough. That's all I needed to hear to jump on board. I understand that people make mistakes, some habitually and others occasional. I may just be more...trustings not the word...easily convinced than others
I will be on board when the next HC is chosen. If it's Petrino then so be it, but I personally, won't like it. I'll ALWAYS support AU with my love, devotion, money, and I'll be there at the games as Long as I a physically able, but I won't ever like Petrino. Sorry.
Regardless if you like the new HC or not, this is the correct attitude to have.
EDIT: Unless it is Shawn Watson, then I will not go

Kids, (a) Changing speeds is more important than a curve ball (b) you play defense with your feet & (c) Wayne Hancock is the tits.
