I am utterly shocked that Gogue released a name for a potential candidate.
Think about it...Chizik hasn't even been fired yet. Why the day before a game with one of their biggest rivals does he come out with this information? I've just never heard of a president releasing names on the potential hiring list when the coach hasn't been fired yet. Very strange. One could suggest that he was trying to settle the chaos, to ease the minds of players, fans and recruits. However...
The one and only name he mentions is going to make the chaos more chaotic. It's a no name OC from Louisville. Not an up and comer, but someone we had to google just to see who he was. And then after you read his resume, you wish we were keeping Chizik. How ironic is that?
There was not a single thing gained by doing what Gogue did. In fact, it only added more flame to the dumpster fire. My main question at this point is why? Why did Gogue do this? If he honestly didn't think this was going to make things that much worse for every facet of Auburn football, he is incompetent. If he knew that it would create more chaos, but did it anyway, that's even worse. I don't see another option. So, to come full circle, things are so much worse than I ever realized.

He didn't release a name.
What? Phillip has said over and over that this name came from Gogue.
