Not expecting a SEC championship season, but c'mon Cola.if some ppl wanna dream, stop peeing on their cornflakes.Just look at Texas A&M last year with a brand new QB & HC(best team in the nation LY IMO).
But not to the caliber that Manziel/Cam/Tebow/V Young were, and that was obiewan's 'point': that you have to have an all world QB in order to succeed.
You just need a QB that can not turn the ball over.
Obiewan then goes on to say that we're about to throw a QB to the wolves, somehow forgetting that Malzahn has never had the same starting QB to start a year...and they all succeeded.
You grad, bro?
The point is every qb on our roster hasn't showed us anything to be confident in. I would take a Chris Todd right now to be 9-3, but for auburn with the talent we think we have we need great qb play to challenge for championships.
Not even close to comparable situations there. They didn't go 3-9 the year before with their best win being an OT Home win versus ULM. Not peeing in anyone's cornflakes, I'm just not going to tell them that their offbrand dogfood cereal is Captain Crunch. And your last sentence tells me all I need to know about your bias. Bama was obviously the best team in the country... And before you give me the "But but but TAMU beat them!" ...Ok, well LSU and UF beat TAMU.....So were they better than TAMU? Ok then. Just stop it.

I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?

You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
I get your point but I do not believe we are as bad off in terms of on the field talent. CEJ has already said that we have a deep defense. I know that man pretty well (I have very close family ties to usc) and he does not just say things for nothing. We have a good amount of talent on D. The D-line has outstanding talent. When CRG gets the D-line playing with proper technique and execution, our D will be a ton better. I fully expect our defense to be better than average in the SEC this year and next year to be very good and in the top 3 in the conference. We will give up more yards than a better than average D, but will get QB pressure and more turnovers to more than make up for the yardage. With an unrestricted Gus on offense, it makes for a solid combination. I expect 8 wins this year with a much easier schedule than last year.
If I had known that prior to posting I would have saved myself the trouble.

CGM turned arguably the worst offensive in AU history (2008) into a record setting offense in 2009 with an immobile QB. I have no doubt he can make the same progress with better position coaches and complete control. On the other hand, watched the 12 Clemson game again and defensively we are an experiment at best. We cannot tackle in the open field at any level and our front is, as of now, the worst in the league. I think we go to a bowl but we will have to out score people because we gonna give up many points.
