I suggest we create a new board called "The Notta Getta." All of the people who think the sky is falling, and we need to fire all the coaches can make their home over there.
I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong. I thought we'd win 8 to 10 games this year. At this point, I think we win 6 if we get better each game. However, I also think after this year's growing pains, we'll be a much, much better team the next 2 years. We have a lot of areas on our team without much experience...and we have 2 brand new coordinators with completely different schemes than any of our players have ever seen. This year will not be pretty...but I should have expected that.
Malzahn approves of NOW Boot Camp! Well...not really...but he would if he knew about it :) www.nowbootcamp.com
The sky isn't falling now. it fell in Starkville just a little while ago.
Why bother, just troll all the fools that are going over board.
I Believe Auburn and Love IT...4 Life!
You should prepare yourself to live with the consequences of your decisions, whatever they may be.
Hold up, you thought we'd win 8 to 10 games this year, which ain't gonna happen, and now you think we'll be much better the next two years? Well, a lot of us thought we'd struggle mightily this year, and we were right. A lot of us had concerns about our quarterback, and we were right. A lot of us had concerns about our overall talent level, and so far, it looks like we are right. So, we should listen to the guy who says he thought we'd win 8 or 10 and then revises his forecast downward and is now saying we'll be much better the next two years? I'll stick with the guys who've been right all along and say we need a change at the top after this year, and it starts with firing Jay Jacobs and Tim Jackson.
What is overboard? Some of the most positive posters on here, many of whom I disagree with, are also expressing serious concern. Do you realize we lost to Miss. State? Do you realize that Mullen took over Miss. State the same year Chizik took over Auburn? Do you realize that Auburn has had 3 so-called top 10 recruiting classes and Miss. State hasn't even had a top 20? Do you realize that we lost to Miss. State, not by 3 points, not on a last minute play, but we lost by 18 points? You tell me what's overboard about any of that...
I'll admit 2 years ago was a great season.....but cam was the best player most of us ever saw.....made a lot of coaches rich....but chiz is in hs 4 season....he's had a cam season......two mediocre seasons and now this....how can anyone honestly next year or the year after will be better?
Your reactions are overboard, it's what you get for having expectations.
Not at all. Anyone that watched the first game should not be shocked at all. On defense we had no depth and got exposed in the second half. We had the same leve if qb play. Not being negative, just being appropriate and very honest. I would take the season for what it is and not get upset, won't be good for the health. Things will get better, it's just gonna take time. It is what it is.
Orange and Blue like the Auburn sky, War Eagle till the day I die.
I expect Auburn to be competitive with friggin Mississippi State no matter what, every time.
