So, I dunno how plausible this is with your site designer/maintenance guys, but I thought I would throw this out there..... How about the ability to minimize certain threads? Like for instance, I made the mistake of commenting in the OT Word Association Thread about 82 years ago, yet it still shows up on my front page every day because somehow people are still entertained by it. What if subscribers could, in essence, "block" certain threads and have them not show up anymore? By doing this, you give the subscriber the power to control how much clutter is on their front page feed on the Bodda Getta.
I think this would be really useful when something happens and 20 different people feel the need to start the same exact thread on it. Again, just a suggestion.
I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
Defeat doesn't finish a man - quit does. A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits. - Richard Nixon
It could work like the "Unfollow Post" on Facebook... I like the idea!!!! The thread would still be there if you wanted to read it.
That thread needs to die
Exactly. Same concept. This would also solve the problem of those (like myself) complaining about seeing 20 threads on bama for example. There would be a lot less arguing, complaining, etc.
This is one of the features we are discussing during the board rewrite. We will start on that after NSD and it will take a bit, but the boards will be even better afterwards.
Good stuff. I'm expecting my letter of employment any day. I'll travel with Bryan and we'll sing showtunes on road trips together. Sounds good...put it in writing and I'll see you guys next week.
Thanks riseup, looking forward to it. Thanks for all the work you guys put in, everybody, the whole staff.
I am sure you have a ton and I think the PM notifications are still a little messed up, but I sent you a PM.
"Get in where you fit in." Life is, Too Short TL;DR
