Yes, I just got a similar email from StubHub. The offer was to completely refund the purchase price of my tickets, plus fees and taxes. Additionally, they were offering $2500 per ticket on top of the original transaction refund. Basically, it sounds like they had sellers that didn't produce tickets and with StubHub's guarantee they are honoring their commitment.
Hmmm wonder why I haven't gotten one
I just got a text from a friend with two tickets he bought 3 weeks ago for $900 each. He just sold them for $3500 PLUS the original amount paid, so $4400 total for each ticket.
I'm sorry, but that's insane. Are there that many rich Auburn people out there or are people taking out home equity loans or selling cars and their children?
I'm pretty sure I may be watching the game from a bar in Phoenix.

I belive in Auburn, and love it! War Eagle every day!
I was offered the full refund as well as $3360. If they make it an extra 5k I would be more inclined to think about it.

BEING THERE TO SEE MY TIGERS HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE HISTORY===PRICELESS
My buddy and I decided against accepting the offer from StubHub. I wouldn't go so far as to say that there is no scenario that could be offered for me to sell my tickets and go to a bar to watch the game. It would have to be a much more significant offer than the current one to do that. I'm only 34 years old, so hopefully this isn't a once-in-a-lifetime thing for me, but with our only other championship coming in 1957, I can't see a reason why I won't be at the game.
This is an e-mail that I received from StubHub
