Need advice on where to stay etc...?
We were thinking about staying in 2 different places while we are there.
My wife and I stayed at the sandals grande. It was blast... We met great couple to hang with for lunch/dinner and excursions. The swim up bars at the main pool were fun and vibrate. The restaurants (not included in package) had some of the best food we ever had... especially Gordon's.
Lots of young couples... We were 28 and 25... We fitted right in with the crowd. You can hang out with a lot of ppl or just hang out as a couple. We were able to do both when we wanted to.
Didn't stay at an all inclusive and hated it. Outside of the resorts that place is a dump.
most islands are dumps outside of the resorts. I went there on a cruise and only stayed for 1 day but I toured the island and took a bike ride to the top of one of the mountain tops (not grand pitons) and I still believe this is the most beautiful island I have been to to date. I have wanted to go back there since. I have found that most islands I get bored after a full day cause most are the same, but with St. Lucia I wanted to go back and stay all week. Its a great island for people who are adventurous and want to explore the rain forest and mountains. If I were to go back I would stay at an all-inclusive (but only so that all cost are settled at the beginning). I would go to the sandals because they have a great reputation.
Oh no he didn't
My wife and I were there 19 years ago on our honeymoon. It was beautiful. We stayed at the Anse Chastanet. We didn't do all inclusive at the time but had great Caribbean food everywhere we went.
Not getting along already?

My sister-in-law got married there at the Sandals resort. I was working at Florida and couldn't make the wedding, but my wife loved it. They had a great time.

Ti Kaye has to be one of the best spots in St Lucia. A little pricey but me and the wife still talk about how great our honeymoon was in 07. Great food, great snorkeling and had our own jacuzzi looking out over the water. Very private. You won't go wrong with anywhere in St Lucia. Have a piton for me!

We went on our honeymoon in february and stayed at Sandals La Toc. It was awesome and we will for sure be going back! The grande is the newest of the three Sandals resorts on the island and is also the biggest! You can travel between any of the Sandals resorts by the resort shuttle so you basically have all the activities and restaurants at your convenience. The people we met that stayed at the grande say it is more of the party resort and more crowded. Everything was great from the food to the service and you can't go wrong with sandals and it is definitely worth the price! As for the shuttle from the airport I actually enjoyed it. You really got to see the whole island and how they live down there! But if you don't like roller coasters then you wont like it!
Oh and La Toc has a friend golf course as well!

I've got too much Auburn in me to act like bammer trash.
Sandals! My husband and I have been on 5 vacays to Sandals / Beaches resorts. We've never been to St. Lucia, but just returned from their family resort in Turks and Caicos. The company is fantastic and has a great loyalty program. We are returning to T & C for spring break again next year...can't get enough!!
