Defeat doesn't finish a man - quit does. A man is not finished when he's defeated. He's finished when he quits. - Richard Nixon
I think I'd add into this, however, that the pressure has gotten increasingly hotter on Mr. Meyer as the public perception has begun to sway towards believing he really is behind it ...
Mr. Mullen is a convenient scapegoat for Mr. Meyer.
Mr. Mullen also has a lot at stake right now ... just keeping his mouth shut and finishing the season out and he'll have a job much bigger than Mississippi State.
It wouldn't shock me, but for whatever reason, I thought Mullen was better than that......I guess I was wrong.
You know, it's hard to figure who to believe in this whole mess. UM doesn't get the benefit of the doubt because everyone knows he is a bad guy.
But then again, I read a couple of articles over the circumstances surrounding Mullen and Meyer and the on again, off again relationship they have always had. I think UM was once quoted as saying something along the lines of "Dan is the best and worst man I know."
I think everyone wanted to give Mullen the benefit of the doubt since Newton talks about how much live he had for Coach Mullen and his family and how he would have got to State if he hadn't let his dad decide.
I guess at least I assumed that because Cam had so much love for him he would at least refrain from dragging Cam through the mud like this. Maybe I was wrong...
Ron, what kind of sources are we talking about here? You know, over the last few days, I've become desensitized to the word "sources". On a scale of 1 - 10, with 10 being solid, where would you rate these sources as far as strength of story?
What's would be sad is Mullen doing this the week of Nick Bell's funeral.
Strive for perfection in everything we do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, create it.
WOW! Lars just confirmed Ron's story...
Hear the war drums thumping.
Seriously, don't take me too serious.
This is about to get real interesting....
"Auburn. I think of purity for some reason." - Lewis Grizzard
I expect to have more on this tonight.
I'm an AUBURN TIGER and LOVE IT!!
Winder, just to keep things straight here, I listened to the three segments of Finebaum and Lars Anderson and I did not hear Lars say this actually came from Starkville .
