about hiring a head coach. A bunch of you think our future head coach has to have head coaching experience....well Muschamp did not and he already has Florida in the top 5. Jimbo Fisher did not and they are in the top 10 and much improved. Dabo was not when he got the Clemson job and has taken that program to another level.
Some of you say we can't hire a NFL coach because they don't know the college game or recruiting. Are you kidding me, you would not take a Gruden or Bill Cower just because he has not recruited before.
There are alot of things that you want in a head coach but rarely will you find someone who meets every criteria. At the top of my list, and what I think is the most important, is that your coach is a natural born leader who successful, driven players and coaches are drawn to.

Good points, but you do not have to insult others on this board to make your point.
I don't think we can hire a currently successful HC. We need to go with a Kirby Smart and give him a big budget for his OC and assistants. Coaches first, please. Not snake salesmen recruiters that can't coach a lick.
Chizik HAD head coaching experience and see where we are with it.
If we replace Chiz, and I am in the wait and see mode, we must clean house in athletic department. The new coach must demand and receive control of the program. He should not retain any current staff and clear out the current hangers on, includes Pat. He should ignore the fans and the media in the same manner that Saban takes. He better win and win quick because there is talent on the team. I could care less about complex offenses and defenses but fundamental skills such as tackling, receivers getting off the line cleanly, linemen understanding who they should block, and runners recognizing where the opening is is critical. I watched ND and Stanford and was struck by both teams fundamentals.
What is a jack wagon?
I thought I was being nice calling people "Jack Wagons" instead and "Dumb_sses".
