This sight is great. One of the interesting benefits is that you can go back and read some old threads to see what type of input was being shared before the facts came out......always interesting. In this case, I recently went back to a post "if Chizik stays" and found that AU girl7 had some great insight as to what might be happening behind the scenes. She was spot on a lot of things. I applauded her for this and got smashed with down votes? Why? Anyone willing to fess up with what their issue might be as I am very confused.
Further, when I went back into the dashboard and commented on a few other older interesting threads, some individuals challenged "why was I going back and commenting on "old" news?" and again, I promptly got smashed with down votes? Really don't understand this as the Dashbord is a great historical tool to enjoy........
Can anyone help me understand why there is such issue with commenting on older posts.......I would really appreciate the input as my intent is not to offend but always support.......WDE
First off.... site*
Secondly, it's probably because you whine about getting downvotes. I mean seriously dude, who cares enough to go back and search a thread from MONTHS ago to complain about downvotes?
Lastly, quit dragging up archaeic posts and you won't get the dv b-slap.

I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
Halley’s Comet will next appear in 2061.
Bringing back threads from months and months ago is called necromancing and nobody likes a necromancer. Use the dashboard to enjoy old threads, but don't post in them. We want to see new and useful stuff on the front page, not old things which are not truly relevant anymore.

The past is relevant to the future. That is why we study History. But, Cowboy, I'd rather just hear you say "told you so" in a timely manner than to read your pseudo "just trying to understand" post tinged with sarcasm months later. Sounds like obsessing bro.
Some don't like being reminded just how off base they were. Some don't like it for reasons listed above. As far as I go, rehashing things from yesterday is a better waste of time than some of the new stuff, so I'd just ask that you not go overboard.

"So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."... Rev. 3:16
My degree is in History, I don't need this attempted philosophy. You aren't supposed to bring up dead threads on message boards, it is common etiquette.
Ok.....as you might note, I am somewhat new to the site and didn't know about posting to an "old" thread brings it forward. Guess I have seen that but never really made the tie. Now I know. Thanks.
Very fair.......I think I only did it to 3 "old" posts which were each associated with coaching change input. Really was interesting to read some of the posts as to what fans "thought" was the problem with the program. Some - like AU girl7 were right on. Others, well way off as you noted. I did not post them, but sone of the most interesting posts were those discussing the coaching search and the MANY fans who were very down on any mention of the Malzahn hire........guess those opinions may have changed a bit. But, the wins have got to come. Thanks again......
Well.......din't know it was an etiquette issue. That was exactly why I was asking. So appreciate the input and now I know.......
