I'd say -- it depends. Coach Barbee should be tasked to provide his plan for building the program. The plan should show his explanation as to why the team went down hill during this season. Something happened that made them get worse as the season progressed. That plan should show the corrective changes that he will put in place or how the issues causing the calapse will be resolved. The plan should also identify the talent that will be on board next year and explain to what extent they will be ready to win in the SEC. It should show why the team will be better at the end of the year than at the beginning. He should show how the team culture and chemistry will result in drastically reduced player turnover and how players are happy to play for Auburn. If this plan is convincing and offers hope for a steady climb back into the elite, keep him for another year and track his progress against the plan. If this plan is shallow and shows no willingness to try an altered approach, let him go and start over.
