He damn sho would have suspended Fairley, no question about it - WDE
ON TO VICTORY - STRIKE UP THE BAND
Fairley's hit on Murray in the 2010 georgia game was one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen in football. Are we thankful that slive showed a little "bias" and didn't suspend him for the iron bowl? He would have fully justified in suspending him but he didn't. If he had we night be riding a 5 game losing streak to bammer.
I agree. Once the pass is intercepted, he's a defensive player. He is subject to being blocked like anyone else on the field. If you are the quarterback, it's up to you to be aware of that and not be standing around watching.

Why do I feel like Fairley did get suspended for the first half of the iron bowl? Am I going crazy or did that happen?
No Fairley was not suspended. He was hurt early on. Mike Blanc and Michael Goggans were suspended for 1st half of the IB for throwing punches in the Georgia game, which resulted in them being ejected from the Georgia game.

Thanks. I knew there was some type of suspension. Blanc and Goggans instead of Fairley I guess.
