Not surprised at all.
I think not only the refs, but all officials associated with the NCAA should be required to take an oath that goes something like this: "I swear I will perform my duties to the best of my ability and I will not cheat for Bama or any other team". Just saying...
No, but I actually don't think he deserved it. Murray was a defensive player once he threw that INT, and if UGA missed that tackle on the run-back, Murray would've been the last line of defense.
"We're all family here. Other people say, ‘Hey, we love our sports. We love this and that,’ but here at Auburn, we love Auburn.” Bo Jackson
"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
Look I dont know anything about whether or not people or person's are cheating, overlooking, or helping, any SEC team to win another MNC. All I really know is that it was obvious that Dail saw an opportunity to blowup the opposing QB and he took it. He wasn't trying to block for the returner, nor was he trying to make that "Murray would've been the last line of defense" touchdown block. He was trying to hit the QB as hard as he could because.... well because he could hit the QB as hard as he could. And according to the rules, Murray was close enough to the play for that to be a legal block. If Murray didn't want to get hit then he should have run the other way.
I don't remember ya'll crying after Fairley tried to take Murray's head off. Actually ya'll were cheering just as loud as me. Good grief.....

For those of you who might have missed it, here's slow motion footage of the cheap shot Quinton Dial placed on Aaron Murray:
