by his top rival, another SEC team, with FSU players who are overall rated higher. He would have less talent to work with at AU than FSU and we cannot allow our rival to keep thrashing us. He also loses to lesser teams pretty regularly. He reminds me of a rich man's Tuberville, which is not what we need against Saban.
Petrino is the only option.
"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
I agree with you that Jimbo would be owned in the SEC. He gets beaten in a league where David Cutcliffe has done well. He has lost to many inferior teams and has got beaten badly when he leaves the nice confines of the ACC. His best attribute was his staff and that will be broken up between UK, FSU, and anywhere jimbo goes. I pray to UT or Arkie but not as much as the FSU fans are praying he's gone. If you ask a knowledgeable person and someone I respect why we should hire Jimbo you will get because he loves and knows AU, worked for Saban and Miles, and national championship. Not the ringing endorsement I would want in a coach.
I have to assume you have been out of the country for the past 2 years or more. If not, you would be aware that FSU beat UF last year and the year before. Geeezzz
Uh, Jimbo Fisher is 2-1 against Florida and lead them this year for the majority of the game. He's 3-1 vs. SEC teams in his HC career, which includes beating South Carolina in addition to beating Florida twice.
At least try to appear to be reasonable.
Ummmm, cause UT and LSU may have mentioned his name?
He lost his starting QB and still beat Savannah State, Murray State, and Wake Forest?
He beat a Clemson team which beat a 3-9 AU team (wins over ULM, NMS, and AA&M) by a touchdown?
You buying any?
Me neither. 10-2 against FSU's soft schedule means? Strength Of Schedule says #63. +1
