I'd be willing to bet that every jury member thinks Casey killed her daughter. Heck, I think any person with an IQ greater than 40 has to think that. The problem, pointed out by many, is there's no physical evidence remaining to prove it. I watched enough of the trial to know that I could not have voted for 1st degree murder. I thought that a murder conviction on a lesser charge was most likely. I think Casey's actions (lying to her family, lying to police, no missing persons report, partying, tatoo) while the child was "missing" were enough to convict on a lesser murder charge. But I was not shocked at the outcome.
