This is not verbatum but yall should get the gist of it. 1984, Pat Dye addresses the team in the meeting room at Sewell hall before practice. Short and to the point. He said (again, not verbatum) that we had one of, if not the, greatest players in AU history on the team. How much longer he was going to remain on the team was up to him. That if he did not start working out and practicing, doing the things that was expected of every player in that room, he would no longer be a part of the team. That was all. Guess who was at practice in pads instead of walking around with a tens unit stuck to him? I will say again that the verbage is not exact but the gist is spot on. # 5 sounds as if he needs a little of the same. War Eagle!
Let there be no doubt, I am indeed a proud Pop!! War Eagle!!
