Does anyone know why Josh Wallace is wearing #11 ?
It is supposedly Wesley Persons retired number.
I have waited patiently for an answer from on this the SID office for over a month now.
Just wondering the reason.

They retire jerseys, not numbers. The only retired numbers in Auburn athletics are No. 7, No. 88 and No. 34 in football.
Sometimes it's easier just to put it simply. Gave you a +1 (like you really need it though, lol).
Thanks to all.
I took my 8 year old daughter to the Ole Miss game a while back.
She asked what the names and numbers were for around the arena ring were for, and I told her they were retired
numbers and no one would ever wear them again.
She immediately shoots back
"then why is #11 on that player?"
I felt of course like a fool, and emailed the SID shortly after, but no answer has been forthcoming.
It does seem odd to retire numbers for one sport, but not others.
