Does anyone know why this kid was rated 3 stars? I'm not seeing any downside to him at all. If I didn't look at recruiting rankings I would assume Peyton is leaps (see what I did) ahead of Derrick Green.
I think that he was hurt as a Junior which allowed him to kinda fly under the radar.

Why So Serious?
No one has him clocked? I swear I read 4.4 somewhere.
His coach says he runs a 11flat 100 meter if someone wants to convert. I think Omac was 10.1 or so, but he has world class speed.

He looks fast on film.
I mentioned a couple of days ago that I thought this young man should have been higher than a 3*! I really don't know all that goes into the rankings, whether it's 'looks good', 'runs hard', 'can catch out of backfield', 'can block downfield', 'cuts on a dime', 'can catch squirrels', or 'can run over hapless LBs'. Whatever, this kid can do it, and should be rated much higher than he is. Apparently CGM saw the capabilities of him, and went out of his way to make sure we got him. For that, I am proud, and I'm counting on him making the Auburn Nation proud, too! WDE!!
As the songs says - DON'T SLOW DOWN!! Eufaula, Alabama! WDE!!!
Correct. Bryan stated a while back that if he wouldn't have gotten hurt his jr year he would be ranked much higher. 100th post! In a year lol...

ESPN claims a 4.75 but Barber claimed in July it's a 4.53 FWIW...plenty fast for this offense. Just watch his film. He will be special!
With all due respect to our guys who do a wonderful job following recruiting there is a major flaw in rankings. That flaw is simply most are completed after a kids Jr year so the players can be ranked for their Sr year. Some kids do a lot of physical growing after their Jr year. Some get more football smarts. Some kids hit College Jr Camps some don't. Although rankings are adjusted that last year the initial bias remains.
I have no doubt if Rueben had been ranked only on his Sr year he would not be as highly ranked and Peyton would have been higher. My opinion.
Not sure what film you guys watched... He looks fantastic and should be a four star IMO but he doesn't have breakaway speed. He has a quick burst but not breakaway speed. With that being said he is going to be a lot of fun to watch.
