Before the season started, did Auburn get any national attention or picked to do any better than 4th or 5th in the SEC west (I know 4th or 5fh looks good now)? It seems like no one was picking Auburn to do much of anything other than the Auburn fans. Do you think as outsiders they may have been more in tune with where our program is in year 4? Also, does anyone remember the reasons they gave for not predicting us to finish any higher (i.e. talent, coaching, experience)? Just wondering how they seemed to have gotten it right and so many of us have gotten it wrong.
Fearless and true.
So all the media guys thought we would be good, but because we're in the SEC west, they picked us to be in the bottom?? That was their reasoning? So, the other 3 or 4 teams they picked to do better are also in the SEC west. Are they picked to do better because of their talent, coaching or experience? Just trying to figure out why us being in the SEC west would make them pick us to not be that good. I just remember some guys picking us to win anywhere from 6-8 games. Since we're still in the SEC West and aren't going to change anytime soon, should we expect to do any better than be in the bottom this year? Just curious....
So, is it still impossible for Auburn to finish 4th in the west? So, they picked us to finish 4 based on that reasoning not coaching, talent or experience?
No one said that - that is YOUR INTERPRETATION! (I can type in all caps too)
You just posted a link that predicted us to finish 6th in the West and go 2-6 in the SEC. Thanks for arguing my point.
It seems you miss the point insider. Basically, we're exactly where we were predicted to be. We still have a chance to be "an improved team". There's a chance we may not be, but after 2 games it's just a wee bit early to go there right now. Let's let the season play out before we get our underwear in a bunch.
You obviously didn't "see what I did there".
