I currently have a blackberry torch and on the 17th of this month i have an upgrade option with my carrier.... I was wanting to know what the differences were in the Iphone 4 and 4s??/ Is it worth the extra money for the 4s? What are some pros and cons? Any other phones to consider besides the Iphone? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I use iPhone 4 and love it, the 4s has a dual Core processor which means faster. Don't know much about it other than that. It came out two months after I got mine.
I have the 4 and really like it. Main difference between them is speed and voice options. I'd get the S if I were doing it over.
Auburn from day one.
I have had them both and the main benefit is Siri with the S. it's voice controls on steroids and it's great to have Siri read you texts, tell you answers to questions, tell you how your stocks have done, the weather, just about anything. I would spend the extra for the S again.
4S if you are a business type person or do a lot of work with your schedule, as Siri is truly an assistant. As stated already its faster and has a better camera.
Thanks for all of the responses, It sounds like the 4s is a no-brainer! I do use my phone for business to keep schedules and it sounds like the 4s is gonna be perfect. I guess on the 17th I will join the Iphone family... WDE
I used the 4 for a year and last week purchased the 4s. They might look alike before you crank 'em up, but underneath the hood they are leagues apart.
Right off you notice the resolution being much better with the 4s. And, it is indeed faster. And, Siri is worth the price of admission. But, one of the big advantages of the 4s over the 4 is the new antennae system. With the 4, you must have a plastic cover around the outside edge to prevent dropping calls... holding the outer band shorts the signal. Apple even supplied a case free of charge to take care of this shortcoming. Apple reworked the whole antennae system in the 4s... no problem at all... no need for a cover.
The HD 720p movie making is a big boost for the 4s... as well as the 8mp still pictures. It is a good point and shoot camera now... with face recognition.
If you don't have either one now, then by all means, buy the 4s. If you do have the 4... yes, it is worth upgrading. It's an all new iPhone under the hood.
Had an I-phone. I went to the Droid Razor. AUsome.
..........BEAT BAMA .................BEAT BAMA..................BEAT BAMA
Sounds like you already made you decision, but for others reading...
There is $100 price difference between the 4 and the 4s. As a previous poster stated they may look the same, but under the hood the 4s is a huge step up.
The contract upgrade lasts 24 months. Is it worth $4 a month to have a phone that has vastly superior hardware?
Agree with everything noted here.
In addition, Apple makes an adapter that will connect your phone to your tv via an HDMI cable. When you do this the HD movies (that you record with the camera) play back in perfect full Hd on your tv. I have a Samsung LED and watching recordings of my kids on there is like watching a blu-ray disc, it's incredible.
It's nice having access to the iTunes cloud as well. Anything I have purchased on iTunes is available for download onto my phone without having to connect to anything.
Overall I love it.
Thanks, You all have provided some really great info..... I even thought about waiting on the Iphone 5 but im sure the price will be outrageous and i think the 4s will fit my needs perfectly. Asking Siri to read my updated schedule to me while driving is gonna be awesome! Anyway, thanks again.
I love my iPhone 4 but would opt for the 4s in a sec .... Also what is this Siri y'all are speaking of???
Careful, going againt the Apple crowd is almost as bad as crossing the rec. You may find yourself falling up some stairs.
