Do you believe
A) the media out to get auburn
B) other schools & entities want to see auburn fail
C) auburn fans are incredibly paranoid and irrational
All of the above
C. Paranoia is a killer!
I personaly think its a scheme by the government. They want AU to fail. Just my thoughts....
My Black Helo is getting warmed up again due to this thread!
If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
Triple R, someone blew up my black helo. Can I ride with you?
All Auburn fans should get tin foil hats and paint them orange & blue. That way the governments power can be rendered void.
and C, big time.
B, because yeah, I don't think there is any question that there are other groups that want us to fail and make sure they bring to light anything they can in order to assist us in our failings. But I don't think they fabricate things from thin air.
They make sure something like Cecil Newton and Kenny Rogers becomes public knowledge, but they didn't fabricate the Newton/Rogers saga from nothing.
C, because too many Auburn fans (and fans in general) consider any and every critical analysis or comment of Auburn to be interpreted as "they hate us", "they want us to fail", "they always drag us down", "they don't respect us", etc....regardless of how accurate or true the analysis might be.
We also fail to see that the media does the same thing to any other program that finds themselves in a similar situation. Everyone acts like ESPN has it out for us. People go so far as to say it's because we're in with UnderArmour. I always like to present Ohio State as an example to kill that notion. Ohio State has an alum as a key employee, they are sponsored by Nike, and they are huge. Yet ESPN ran them through the exact same ringer they ran us through. They didn't hesitate. Don't think so? Go onto an Ohio State message board and ask them how they think ESPN treated them during tattoo gate.
The media is guided by revenue generated from ratings (viewers, listeners) and attention (clicks, comments, etc). If you bring anything to the table that increases those things....they love you. That includes lots and lots of winning (Alabama, USC, Texas, Florida....it changes through the years), or negative/blockbuster headlines (Ohio State and Jim Tressell or Auburn and Cam Newton or Notre Dame and Manti Te'o).

kick 'em in the ass, big blue.
Definitely B which leads to A.
I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
Straight up jealousy.
