How can Miami sign 34 commitments when, as I understand it, teams are only allowed 25? And especially in light of an NCAA investigation? Just doesn't make sense to me!
The 25 max signees is an SEC rule ... Miami can only enroll 25 unless they have unused scholarships from last year. They can sign as many as they want, unlike SEC teams.
the NCAA rule is about enrolling. Miami can only enroll 25 players at the beginning of fall. And they can also add as many as they didn't enroll last year (those that they add must be early enrollee's though). Miami can sign as many as they want as long as they only enroll 25 come August. The 25 signing rule is an SEC rule, which is why it is going to be even more important to not sign players who may or may not qualify.
Oh no he didn't
