Many people think Jacobs should be fired. I don't disagree. Our football and basketball programs finished at the very bottom in historic fashion, despite the money allocated to both programs - coaching staffs, facilities, recruiting budgets, etc. . I understand and respect that you do not call for people's jobs. But can you elaborate on what measurables the performance of an athletic director should be judged? It would seem to me that the biggest factor would be the bottom line of wins and losses - simply because this seems to be a true and accurate gauge as to the success of the athletic programs. I understand there are other factors such as graduation rates, off field problems, NCAA investigations/sanctions, etc. Can you provide insight as to reasons why Jay Jacobs job wouldn't be on the line?
I suspect you know I'm not going there through the back door or the front door.
