We all know he can Coach, but the thing alot of people are forgetting is who would want to work for a man will no integrity. What if one of his Coaches did the same thing what would he do and how could ensure the parents that he could be a good role model to their kids. You dont just hire a man because he can Coach. You hire someone that will do the right thing for the his Team, Players, Coaches, School, Parents, and Community. Folks i hate to say this i want him as the next Coach to but there is too much baggage with the man.
I disagree. WDE
I am glad that you won't be on CBP's staff. I would be worried about you.
You can say all you want to but for most coaches its all about the money! They know he can win at the SEC level so who wouldn't want to coach for him?
Please explain, because all you fans just want to hire the man. Its more to than just been a good Coach. If his OL Coach did what he did would he fire him or give him a second chance ?
If someone had those ideals, they wouldn't be a head coach in the SEC. You would need someone that would take the job for $150,000 per year that would be someone doing the right thing for his team, players, coaches, school, parents, and the community.

You scared, bruh.
I am not hung up on the baggage. The jet gate issue was more AU than him. He was just listening to an offer, every coach would listen. Leaving Louisville after a few years to go to the NFL was a chance to better himself. He was lied to in ATL and Arkansas told him "now or never". The Arkansas fiasco is embarrassing, no doubt about it.
I can't answer how he would discipline an assistant who did wrong and lied to him. I would imagine he would be firm but fair given the fact that he has been in trouble before. I don't think we are going to lose a lot of recruits to parents saying he lacks morals. I think we are all over-thinking it to death.
I just wish people would stop with all the judgement and give him merit for what he is, a really good coach. I don't care what he does in his personal time, just what he does between the hedges at Jordan Hare.
I just don't think that Coach Petrino is so stupid and out of touch with reality that he would go into an interview with Auburn without having those assistants lined up and ready to come to Auburn immediately. Part of the selling point of any interview he will give is going to be the assistants he has talked to and are willing to join him at Auburn -- the whole package of his program, not just himself. We just finished the worst season in Auburn football history in 60 years (stating the obvious), folks! We have a plethora of 4 and 5 star athletes that a man of character and integrity sorely let down -- to the point of them quitting on him! Worst thing I have seen EVER in college football in terms of players and staff divided. Mark my words, Petrino is not the kind of man that will put up with that crap and he will have us winning NEXT YEAR and, IMHO, back to the NCG in 2014.
