You have said that people are not all worried in the Auburn program ab big sanctions or huge violations......In 1993 was there a different feeling like they knew it was coming? It seem that if TT had committed major violations, he would have been fired too. Why keep a coach that is responsible for violations? This is why i think this situation has been blown out of proportion....No way auburn is dumb enough to keep someone they know broke the rules
The Gus Bus is rolling, get on or get out of the way!!
Not PM, but in 1992/3 they had us dead to rights. There was a smoking gun, and everyone knew we were going to get hammered. All there has been around AU the past few years is a bunch of rumors started by who knows who and perpetuated by a group of "journalists" (loosely used) who seem hell bent on giving AU as much bad press as they can possibly print.
i was but 2 years old in '92 so i had no idea, thanks for that info
I think this answers your question.
"The thing about quotes from the internet is that it’s hard to verify their authenticity." --Abraham Lincoln
in 92 they had tapes of Dye and others 'helping' Eric Ramseys with his finances. 60 minutes did a big story about it and the tapes were played on national TV. Like I said, I personally believe if the administration was worried about this current investigation, then they would have gotten rid of Luper and Trooper rather then let them stay and continue to work.
