Last night was the first being around a bunch of Ole Miss fans. Me and the family went to Dreamlands in Bham to eat and was greeted with a bunch of Ole Miss fans. I actually had a great conversation with several of the men and they turned out to be pretty classy people. Is that how all of their fan base is or did I just hit a few lucky ones? Also it wa pretty cool that Col Reb made an appearance there am actually took a pic with me, wearing an Auburn hat. Overall I would say a pretty cool experience. I still love the AU traditions over any other schools.
I went to the Ole Miss game in 2010. Hung out in the Grove and I had a great time. Not one "rude" fan from Ole Miss.
AU Electrical Engineering 87'
They cheered Hotty Toddy during our alma mater not once but twice when I witnessed it personally. Muck Ol Fiss
Also there was a table behind us of an older gentleman and his college aged daughters that kept talking about Cam. It took everything in my power to keep from interfering and busting his balls on the situation. He kept mentioning Milton McGregor and his trial that he was acquitted that he have the money to the Cam Newton Sledge Fund. My wife had to keep me toned down.
Lets also consider that losing makes for humble and polite fans and winning a lot trends to attract hordes of classless fans. The challenge its to be a consistent winning team and still have a classy fan base. Few, if any, can achieve that but I think AU does the best.

I remember that, and it was classless. It was also directed at Tuberville and not necessarily Auburn. They loved Tubs, and he broke their heart when he left them - especially the manner in which he did. I love going to Oxford, and have many Ole Miss friends, and find them to be good fans overall.
"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
I had the same experience. The Grove is a great experience. All the fans I encountered were fun to be around and I had a great time. I think that place should be on the bucket list of all college football fans.
pretty good folks when I went over there
Auburn...a family tradition since 1905
Leopards show their spots brightest when it's darkest.
I went to the game in 2008 (Tubs last year) when we weren't very good and they beat us. It was an early game so I hung out in the Grove afterwards. I almost punched like 7 of their fans because they were so obnoxious and bragging about how they "whopped our @$$" in my face. I could not wait ti get out of their. They acted like they had just won the SEC or MNC Championship
