"you're so vain, I'll bet you think this post is about you, don't you? Don't you?"
Does it really offend people that Ole Miss is cheating? They have been sitting back getting their brains bashed in for years. They finally have a coach that can win given talent and they are capitalizing. Who can blame them? They have never sold themselves as a holier than thou program so it's not like they are even being hypocritical. What we need to do is keep doing what we do and we'll win in the end. They will have a flash of success then go back to being Ole Miss. Meanwhile, Gus is putting together a foundation upon which many great classes will be built. Give them their day. It will be taken away from them as soon as the REC gets ticked off enough to act.

Coach Dan Mullett has to be fired up about these shenanigans! Mullett and his wife will "cry foul' very soon.
You grad, bro?
A couple of days ago I responded to the same question. I was curious just how well they were actually doing so I looked at 10 years worth of Ole Miss recruiting just to compare. I had to look on Rivals so I could go back 10 years. They are currently ranked 11th but if they sign who they are supposed to will be in the top 10 for sure and probably in the top 5. That will be the 1st time ever for a top 10 ranking. The best ranking under Oregeron was 15th. Average ranking for the past 10 years was 27th. So to say a program with an average recruiting ranking of 27th to have a top 5 class is head scratching at best.
The nation was saying the same thing about AU when we started landing top 3 classes under Chizik. The difference is we have landed top 10 classes in the past just never top 5. I would put our average around 15th without even looking for the past 20 years or so.I know Tubberville had a #7 in 2005.
