Tackle- B. Mosley and AJ Greene the starters. Sullen the backup at both positions. One of the freshman(I'll guess Robinson) as the backup behind Sullen. If we sign either of the uncommitted 5* tackles, then everyone else already mentioned will be pushed even harder. Harris appears to be a non factor.
Guard- Now it gets interesting. I don't have a clue as to who are the starters or backups. Slade, Mack and Christian are all talented red shirt freshmen that have a real shot at starting. With Westerman, O'Reilly, and possibly a currently uncommitted 5* offensive line prospect, you have at least 6 different players that could win the starting position. There will be more quality competition for the starting guard position than at any time in the last 10 or 20 years. Whoever wins those two positions, will be inexperienced--but will be good and constantly pushed. I look for a steep learning curve with a bright future at both positions.
Center- I've heard the coaching staff will give Cooper a shot at the starting position and Dismukes his likely competition. Burgess will be in mix, but I think it Cooper must blow his chance for Burgess to be a serious contender.
Overall, we will have more offensive line talent on next year's roster than last year's class. For that matter, we may more OL talent on next year's class in the last 20 years. The problem, and it is a big problem, is that we will have relatively little experience. We can start Freshman and be successful (remember Pugh, Ramsey and Ziemba 4 years ago), but they will need to gel quickly. By November of next year, the OL will not be a concern--it will be a strenght of this team.
I see it about the same, but I've heard good things about Burgess and Cooper. We may start 3 Seniors and two RS Frosh.. We're Guard heavy unless they move Cooper to tackle.
"There's no doubt, we're going up."
Fearless and true.
My thoughts: I think you're right about tackle. Though I think Westerman will stay at tackle. At guard, I think the frontrunners are Cooper and Sullen. They will be pushed. Dismukes and Burgess battle for center.
But I'll leave the coaches to that. As of now we have the top-ranked center, two top-10 guards, and a top-3 tackle. The future looks bright!
...And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.
War Eagle, Baby!!
It seems Cooper has worked a lot at guard this year. I think he'll end up playing center and Sullen gets one guard and Christian and Mac battle it out for the other Guard positions. Maybe Cooper could end up playing guard but I think it's most likely his job to lose at Center unless Dismukes comes in and blows peoples pants off or Burgess has a great spring. I think Greene and Mosley have the tackle spots wrapped up.
