War Damn and God Bless - Lutzie43
I am an Auburn grad (75&91). I also take offense with the term "sidewalk fan." I am also a Navy fan but did not graduate from the USNA (although I did serve 20 yrs). During both tours at Auburn, I met many wonderful people that loved Auburn as much as any attendee or alumni ever has. Some went off to fight WWII, fight Korea, and fight Vietnam. Some just had to raise families (and later sent those kids to Auburn). Some were not academically gifted as some of us. Anybody that wants to love Auburn and understand what it means should be welcomed, encouraged, and accepted. I felt respect and honor for all of those that gave the unequivocal love and dedication to our University even though they had not received any of its resources. All of you on this board that love Auburn w/o graduating or attending, I for one salute you. Thank you for joining us.

"Get in where you fit in." Life is, Too Short TL;DR
Auburn people feel a deep and passionate responsibility to uphold standards not written on paper, but lived from the heart.
