If we were discussing purely need from a single class standpoint without regard to future impact, I'd say we need 2 OTs, at least one DT, and that's about it. I am looking at need more from a standpoint of getting Auburn sexy again. We can only ride the Cam craze for another year or two. I always point out that Dyer was a very good RB, but even before he was bounced on his ear, he wasn't a draw. Elite athletes grab the attention of upcoming recruits. Elite athletes get drafted in the first round. Roc will be elite. D. Williams may be elite. B. Harris may not get a snap until JJ is gone, whereas D. Watson looks like the kind of guy that could step in and challenge to start immediately. With all that said, I consider the"need" to sign an elite guy on defense taken care of on defense with Williams.
I expect a lot of this to be moot after this year as I am expecting huge thing from this year's team in general and the players that are coming in with the last class in particular.

AL.com is killing your brain bro.
How so? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Winning football games is independent of perception. It is easy to get caught up in perception when we read and discuss football as much as some of us do. Bama fans run their mouth all the time about how great they are because.......their team is winning. Having players that get drafted is what a successful program does. Not the other way around. I just think you and many many others have allowed others to form your opinions of what is important. Garbage in, Garbage out.
I can see where you are coming from. I would disagree only in that the bammers argument mimicks yours. They are frontrunners. Their success is trumpeted by the media. I would contend that the good press for Auburn is much harder to come by. Cam is a great example. He transcended the bad press. They could cry all they wanted, but they couldn't take away what he did. All I am saying is that I would consider it a tremendous value add to have a player that is talented enough to grab attention for our program.

Has the Abu Lamin ship sailed? If not, that's one id love to get.
Seems that way... UF has taken the lead. Lamin seems to be the type of kid you need the last visit with. He has had a couple different leaders to this point.
