I really wish the board would list the age of the person who makes a post. For me, it would shed some light on how to respond or how credible a poster may or may not be. I dont post a lot, but I read the boards often and will chime in if I think I have something to add. Somehow, though, I just dont feel like engaging what may be a teenager that needs to be talked down off the ledge. Maybe it's just me, but knowing a person's age completely changes the color of a posted remark. In fact, all message boards on all sites would be far better off if this was a visible component of a post.

Welcome to the message boards of the internet. In my opinion, I don't think age has anything to do with football knowledge necessarily. However, age could play a part in some responses to statements made.

I said "how credible a poster MAY or may not be". Im not trying to suggest they cant make intelligent posts. I would just like to know the age of a person who posts for my own purposes. Just my opinion...

Im 22 and I don't think being young makes you less knowledgeable or immature. I certainly don't think a post from a younger member should automaticly be discredited. I also don't think being older makes anyone an expert or more cridiable. If they were to start posting member's ages I think you would be surprised by some of the ones that needed to be "talked of the ledge". Iv following this board long enough to see that some of the older members behave less adult like than I do. After all we have will members who pretend to be the secret deep darks in the inner working of auburn football. (No disrespect to the nwo. I have alot of respect for them and thier work on the blue board) try to lightening up and respect everyones veiws. Afterall, you don't have to read the negative posts.
You seem like an intelligent, rational person. I think it is entirely reasonable that a young person can make rational posts. Most, however, do not...IMO.
Besides, wouldn't you find it interesting to see a 70 year old conversing with a 20 year old on a message board? Maybe it's just me, but I would.
I hear ya! .
But, I have to LOL, because I actually am a deep, dark, secret insider.
I used to think people should have their IQs painted on their car....that way when somebody cuts you off and you see their IQ, you'd know what ur dealing with...
Same concept here?
