Meeting in AU to discuss coming to on board. From this area and wants to come back home. That hire should lock up Lawson.
With the possibility of Harbison too, that would be a kick in the nuts to Clempson. They deserve it!
No defensive coaches are going to be hired without significant input from Ellis Johnson, and he has not arrived yet.

So, I assume it would be safe to say he is NOT actually interviewing at AU right now. Thanks for clarifying, but why are bogus posts stating "as fact" that someons is interviewing, if their not, even allowed to stay up on the board?

Because its not false.
I'm not over there right now, so I can't who is there and who isn't. I can say that no one will be hired without significant input from Ellis Johnson, and he's in Hattiesburg right now. Expected to arrive Friday, I believe.
Phillip: I hate to rain on your pessimistic parade, but I'm pretty sure Ellis can provide input while in Hattiesburg. In fact, I'm sure defensive assistants were a topic of discussion during his initial interview and subsequent acceptance call. Perhaps he provided a list of his top choices to Gus, the ultimate decision-maker and lead conductor of staff interviews.
What am I pessimistic about? I said there won't be any defensive hires without significant input from Ellis Johnson. Just exactly how is that pessimistic?
You know, this post would be pretty helpful and well received if you leave off the insults and tweak the tone just a bit.
Just a suggestion.
You're initial post insinuated that because Ellis had not yet arrived, no defensive coaches would be hired. I was simply pointing out that Ellis doesn't necessarily need to be present during the interview. The tone of your post suggested an unfavorable outcome; hence, the reason for my assertion that you were being pessimistic.
How can you characterize my post as insultful? Phillip - were you insulted?

I don't believe any defensive coach will be hired without Ellis being present during the interview. Whether any coach is hired or not is neither favorable nor unfavorable to me.
