If you cant be honest....whats the point of being anything?
Maybe I just missed it but CGC is totally to blame for our troubles. FIRST: He says from the start he wants to run a downhill smashmouth running game... and he hires CGM. Anybody who thinks CGM is anywhere close to that type of offensive coach needs to go to timeout. SECOND: CGC has his hand wayyyy to much in the offensive gameplan. CGM wanted one thing and CGC wanted something different. It has been obvious by the way the offense has been so disfunctional, excluding Cam. By far the best game we have played in three years, again excludingCam, was the Chicken Bowl last year. Reason; CGC had his hands full being defensive co-ordinator and had no time to interfere in the offense. Result: Blow out win with 30+ points scored and defense that shut Virginia down. NOW: We are running a pro style offense with spread players. IT WILL NOT WORK, at least not in time to save CGC.
I'll take #3.
A solid 3. Too many variables in play at the moment (play calling, coaching ability, adaptive capabilities, player performance, player adaptability, defensive opponent, etc.) and IMO not enough data is available for a valid management decision. Too soon to accept hypothesis 1, or alternate hypothesis 2. Hyp 4 is not in play for the above reasons. I reject #5 as a possibility because I don't subscribe to the 'instant gratification' fan club. The 5th option is sefl-defeating and self-destructive, i.e the Tubberville approach.
4)... He just needs the personelle to step up and make and execute the plays better.

Gah... Not sure why all the multiple posts... Sorry.
What about the strategy in the LSU game made him seem like a genius? Again, I'm really not trying to sound combative, but I don't get how people could say that. Yes, execution was poor, but after seeing the execution was crappy on the sweep plays for the first 10 times, why try another 25 times? It's on the OC to make in-game adjustments to the environment at hand. As a brilliant strategist, you don't keep running the same test and expect a different result. I believe that is actually the definition of insanity...
I was going to put a witty joke here, but I forgot bama fans still use picture books. So I thought I'd expedite the process for you...
Dragons are people too...
Sorry I am late on this great topic. I have been busy and I just got finished watching a slaughter.
1) He can't be. He has not shown me can craft an offense that utilizes the talent at his disposal.
2) 17 ppg and UGA and UATea left on the schedule. It might look that way. His only opportunity is to change (1).
3) Can't tell what? We were told about his work with QB's. The diversity of offenses he has experienced and his success at Temple specifically the running game. I can tell he has not moved the dail on the QB, he has been a one trick pony in offensive philosophy and he has been below average at that honestly. He is his own worst enemy with our running game.
4) Sorry, but No.
5) Nall/Emfinger like result. Next is harsh, but a redo might be considered.
I would add (6) or sub for (5). Chizik needs to relinquish the reins and let him run the offense the CSL way.
Not trying to be combative but has anyone considered that we just don't have the players to run any kind of offense?
...We have 4 star athletes... It's not like these guys are incapable.
3 but very very close to slipping into 2. Enough already with the Frazier is young sunshine pie. Tx A&M's Manziel is young. Driskell is young at UF. Mariota is very young at Oregon. Notre Dame has a young true freshman. South Carolina used their young backup QB 2 weeks ago to start in place of Shaw. The kid was a 2 star QB with no other SEC offers, yet he looked flawless. TCU has a young QB, as does Oklahoma State etc etc etc
