I remember reading a book several years ago by John C. Maxwell on Leadership. In that book it talked about that success in life, a business, and even in coaching are a direct result of your leadership abilities. You will always be limited on your effectiveness by where you are on the leadership scale regardless of where you are on the talent / ability scale. I look at this team, with all of the talent and great athletes that we have, and we are 1 and 6 and it is due to leadership. In 2010, we had 27 seniors that had been through both good and bad times in their careers but they stuck it out and were still on the team. You throw 2 juniors in the mix with Cam and Nick which were great talents as well as leaders and then bam (A national championship). Other than Malzahn on that 2010 team, who really provided leadership on that team as far as our coaches. I do give Chizik credit for how he handled the ordeal with the allegations surrounding Cam but post 2010 I have not seen any leadership from our coaches. Our coaches are not getting it done because they are not able to influence the players on the team to play to their maximum capabilities. We need a new leader. War Eagle!!!!

Thanks for the title of the book. It had been so long since I had read it that I could not remember. Great post by the way. War Eagle!!!!
It always is. When you don't have it the direction is chaotic and unfocused. Steve Jobs was a jerk and difficult to work for. But he made people believe they could do the impossible and they did.
