No positive movement on their qualification status today. Needs to be some tomorrow or they're not gonna make the Wednesday deadline. I'll update both guys tomorrow. It's still possible one or both could be ruled eligible in time to enroll this fall.

dang this is not good news.
We need to get these two on campus.

Trying to remember... Will these be the first two nonqualifers due to academics under chizik's time. Nevertheless, recruiting qualifiers has taken a huge step forward from Tubbs. Great job in this area by our coaches.

I don't get this Bryan. Does the clearinghouse review EVERYTHING after the completion of the last element? I would think everything accomplished by an incoming student would have already been reviewed and approved and the eventual clearance based on completion and approval of the missing elements.
Does a student athlete not know what he needs to get qualified. These guys all have stated that they just need to complete this or complete that yada yada. Then when they say it is done the freaking clearinghouse takes forrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreverrrrrr.
What do these guys at the clearinghouse do all summer long VACATION? It seems to me that they have no since of urgency when it comes to clearing late qualifiers.
Please clarify who these guys are and are they full time employees.
Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow.
Jeremy Richardson, in 2010, is the only non-qualifier they've had the past two classes. They were perfect in 2011.
For what it is worth. Here is the link to the clearinghouse http://web1.ncaa.org/eligibilitycenter/common/
I'm not an expert on the inner workings of the NCAA Clearinghouse but they do take a closer look at all late potential qualifiers, especially ones that take on-line classes, transfer schools, etc. They want to avoid issues like what happened with Jovon Robinson.
Fearless and true.
Suppose the kids are responsible to qualify, just like we all did. Coaches know who is close and who is not....so goes something like this:
1. Kids must get their school work done, period.
2. Coaches must watch out who they are recruiting, period.

The issue here is not that the kids haven't done the work though. They have, maybe it is good enough maybe it isn't, that remains to be seen, but they did the work and now the process is letting them down by delaying grades and asking for more papaerwork when the deadline is near.
Last I heard, Richardson was going to a junior college but not playing football.
