Malzahn approves of NOW Boot Camp! Well...not really...but he would if he knew about it :) www.nowbootcamp.com
Fearless and true.
I get tired of people saying how talented, or how much potential someone has based on what they did in high school. Sometimes it just doesn't relate to the next level. The best evaluators of talent in the business, the NFL scouts, miss on high draft picks every year. Just because a guy was rated 5 stars and won awards in high school does not mean he is going to be a good college QB. The coaches should base there decisions on what they see in the games. How many chances does he get? One more game? Two more games? The season?
KF's last two games have not warranted a starting job at an SEC school. Maybe the back up is not as good as KF, at this point it doesn't matter. He's performance, what we have seen on the field, is not worthy of starting this coming Saturday. If for nothing else to send a message, no one's job is safe. You think if another position player would have had the kind of day KF had today he'd be starting next week? Why is the QB position so sacred?
QB is the hardest position to play. A lot of the problem right now is with confidence and finding a rhythm.
Performance stands out like a ton of diamonds. Nonperformance can always be explained away.
The backup is better than KF. He's a 60% passer with a bad oline. Only had 4 turnovers in 6 games against 3 top ten defenses. Don't know how much more evidence you need. Tossed in the fire early isn't gonna get it. Clints first start was in Baton Rouge.
