I am tired of looking at which teams have the "top recruiting classes." I am 100% convinced this is as worthless as the Charmin you wipe your butt with. After watching a Texas A&M team led by a 3 star freshman QB (per Rivals) along with his fellow 2 and 3 star team take my Tigers to the woodshed which were loaded with 4 and even some 5 star recruits. Are we bad at recognizing talent or do we simply do a poor job of developing talent? Most likely a combination of both. So for all the fans who want to hold to this "great recruiting class" by keeping the current staff.............please convince me why i am wrong in wanting a change.
Attitude is Everything
Those classes are consensus great classes, not just what our current staff assesses. I don't think we will lose that many of them even if this whole staff gets fired. We'll have plenty of talent next year we just need a fresh group of coaches who can develop better, and who can establish a tough, consistent environment where people respect each other. Under the current circumstances, bringing in new leadership is paramount to success, not holding on to a few more players which may or may not be as talented as they're supposed to be. You'd be wrong if you DIDN'T want a staff change.
