This time of year makes me think of my friend Thrower and how we used to spend significant amounts of time talking Auburn and specifically recruiting. For those that knew him and those that didn't, when you are toasting the new year, raise a glass to Thrower - for never has there been a more devoted Auburn man. I miss our talks.
+1 and here's to Thrower !
I didn't know him, but from what I understand he sacrificed more for Auburn than anyone ever has. War Eagle to Mr. Thrower and big thanks for all the did, and was trying to do.
No war is over until the enemy says it's over. We may think it's over, we may say it's over, but the enemy gets a vote. - Gen. James Mattis
John was my first cousin. I appreciate you kind words.

I meant to say your kind words. I'm sure he would have found a little humor in that...........WDE Stump.
Cheers to John Thrower!

Was shocked when I heard about his death. War Eagle Stump! Loved listening to that guy. Loved reading the stuff he wrote as well

I've read a lot about Mr. Thrower, in fact I was reading an article about him the other day, and he sounded like a fearless person that truly loved Auburn and not just the football team, but everything that Auburn is supposed to stand for. Here's to his memory
